Dan Price who founded an e-credit card processing firm called Gravity Payments has resigned from the CEO post over choking allegations.
According to the sources, he is fronting charges for allegedly assaulting a 26 years old woman.
He declared his walk out in a Tweet and revealed that current Chief Operating Officer Tammi Kroll will be the next CEO of the company.
Dan was charged at the beginning of this year after he allegedly tried to kiss and choke the lady after a business meeting.
He is best known to raise minimum wage for his company's employees to US$70,000 and cut his own salary from US$1.1 million to US$70,000.
He claims to be not guilty and has rejected misconduct.
Price's legal team gave a statement in which they said that 'He respects the laws and its process'. 'He believes that his innocence will be justified in court', they added.
In his tweet he added that he is not going anywhere. He just need to focus full time on fighting against false accusations.
