Mandy Moore finally revealed why she’s not getting an epidural for the birth of her second child

She suffers from autoimmune disorder and which has resulted in vast decrease in her platelets.

Disease name is immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP).

She also gave birth to her 17-month-old son, Gus, without an epidural – described her first labor as “awful.”

Moore believes she can do it again,  but also on the other side she wish medication was an option.

ITP occurs when the immune system “attacks and destroys platelets.”

If not taken seriously during pregnancy, it could lead to a “greater risk of heavy bleeding during delivery.”

Last month, she had to cancel the rest of her In Real Life Tour after struggling to balance life on the road while pregnant.

She assured fans they would be getting a full refund for the canceled tour dates.
